RDB 2x (Ronde de Bordeaux cuttings)
—
by
This listing is for 2 cuttings of RDB A great fig for growing in ground just about anywhere. It is an early ripening variety that grows extremely fast for me. The figs are great, dark berry flavor, and a circular shape. Its only downside is that it can split when there is excessive rain/moisture.

A really good, decent sized yellow honey fig. It gets a bit of redish coloration creeping into the interior as it gets very ripe.
-

Rossellino

Excellent and unique fig that can dry on the tree. The leaf shape is great, and the fig gets an olive color as it ripens.
-

Rubado

An italian fig variety that is olive colored on the outside, with a red interior. Known to have a nice crackling pattern to the skin at times (new fig to me)
-

Sal’s Mezzojuso Red

An UNK from a collector named Salvatore Pennacchio in Brooklyn NY. It produces a very round red fig with a long stem and a wide eye. The breba a bit better than most breba. Introduced by Danny from Figbid

-

Testa (Hershey Fig)
—
by
Large fig, cool leaf pattern (most likely a magnolia type). It can be very large and a cauldron like shape, but it is on that often gives me problems when ripening. It has an interesting story behind it in the town of Hershey PA (look up: “Hershey’s famous fig”)
-

Thermalito
—
by
A good size green fig, that is a very fast growing plant. While it looks like an adriatic fig, it definitely has a different taste in ther with it. This one is a California seedling.

Tia Penya

One of my favorite overall for taste this year. It was pretty late and I did get just a few, but they had a great berry flavor with a bit of a bite/acidity to it. (a variety in the Montserrat Pons collection)

VDB (Violette de Bordeaux)
—
by
A great dark berry fig that ripens with a purplish color inside. It is one of the best price/taste varieties. VDB has long fingered leaves, and the figs darken a while before they are fully ripe. Do not pick them as soon as they turn dark, but wait until the neck is soft to get…

Verdolino
—
by
This one was one of my most consistent producers this year. It gave me figs from August 7th until mid November. Great fig, that looks a bit like a smaller longer adriatic, with a little lighter color inside.
-

White Madeira #1

by
Possibly my favorite fig of them all. Always an awesome complex fig, with a dark red interior (an adriatic fig). It has a great complex berry taste that replaces some of the extra sweetness of some other adriatic varieties

5 Terre A
—
by
5 Terre A (named after Chinque Terre) was a great suprise for me this year. I didn’t know what to expect and it was really good. Green exterior that can take on some red coloration as it ripens. Deep red interior and very good flavor. It often has a somewhat elongated shape
