5 Terre A
—
by
5 Terre A (named after Chinque Terre) was a great suprise for me this year. I didn’t know what to expect and it was really good. Green exterior that can take on some red coloration as it ripens. Deep red interior and very good flavor. It often has a somewhat elongated shape

Angelito
—
by
This is one of the best Adriatic fig varieties. It is possibly my largest adriatic variety, and both a great grower and producer with awesome flavor.
-

Atreano
—
by
Atreano is one of my most prolific honey figs. It produces a bunch of very large figs that have a bit of pink and oragne/red to the interior. They need to be very ripe and hanging off to get their best taste. They almost have a buttery quality to them.
-

-

Bakor
—
by
Bakor is a new fig to me, and I have only had a few. The ones I had were very sugary sweet. Yellow inside with a dark exterior with some purple in it.
-

Banana Fig (R.boni)
—
by
A very interesting fig (from Richard Boni.) It seems to get its name from the appearance of the fig. It looks like a small banana variety (ie. burro bananas). It doesn’t have a banana flavor so far, but it has a nice thick texture to the skin that I really liked.
-

Barran
—
by
Barran is a heavy producer with a dark exterior and deep red interior. It has some similarities to Mt. Etna types, but seems somewhat different to me.
-

Bass’s Favorite
—
by
A great very large fig with excellent raspberry flavor, and a good seed crunch. (similar to Calderona de Miner)
-

Anna Hardy Kiwi
—
by
The main hardy kiwi variety that I have growing. A few of my vines of this are 17 years old. It produces excellent berries, and is easily cold hardy to my zone. I have never protected it at all. (It does need a pollinator, such as meader male)
-

Black Algiers
—
by
A large and interesting looking fig. I don’t have a lot of experience with it yet (just a few figs), as it was new to me this year. Looking forward to seeing what it is like next year
-

Black Celeste
—
by
One of the most beautiful and uinquely colored fig varieties I grow. A small celeste variety that is dark black with a hint of purple on the outside, and variations of deep purple inside.
-

Black Madeira KK
—
by
One of the best tasting figs out there. Dark outside, deep red honey filled inside. Only for growing in a pot in my area, because it can be relatively late.
-

Black Manzanita
—
by
An aggressive growing plant for me, with a large pretty black fig with a bit of a squat shape.
-

Black Tuscan
—
by
A very good black madeira type, with excellent flavor. All of my black Tuscans are very productive, and seem to have more of an hourglass shape than my Black Madeiras, with a small void in the middle.
-

-

Black Zadar
—
by
One of the more interesting and odd looking figs I grow. It definitely stands out with its odd squat, almost squished shape. Very good tasting and meaty when ripe. The bark of the tree gets that knobby look that I really like.
-

Blava Campanera
—
by
An interesting one for me so far. Hasn’t put out a ton of figs, but the ones it has put out are good.
-
Anabelle Hydrangea
—
by
Anabelle Hydrangea produces large white blooms. It is a smooth hydrangea, which is a native species.
-

Blue Princess
—
by
Very dark exterior, and needs to be very ripe. It usually has hints of purple throughout it, and a bit of a void on the inside. It is a Nikky variety
-

-
Goji Berry plant cutting
—
by
Goji berries reproduce relatively easily through cuttings. It is a spiky plant that seems to prefer the cooler seasons, (spring and fall). It puts out small red edible berries. It is also cold tolerant to well below zero degrees
-
Pink diamond Hydrangea
—
by
Pink diamond Hydrangea produces large white blooms that fade to pink/red. It is a panicle hydrangea
-

BNR (Bordisot Negra Rimada)
—
by
Bordisot Negra Rimada is a variety with both striped wood and striped figs. They are some of the prettiest figs out there. They start out with lighter colored stripes, that darken as it ripens. The interior looks similar to black madeira, and also tastes great.
-

Borda Barraquer
—
by
One of my favorite new varieties to me. It consistently puts out beautiful figs with a deep pool of honey and a purple tint to the interior. The plant grows very well for me also.
-

Bordissot Blanca Negra
—
by
Very good berry flavor, and an exterior with lighter and darker tones to it. Similar to something like BNR or BMKK on the inside
-

Boreale
—
by
Very good honey fig, refreshing and sweet interior. It has been mid size to small, and yellow or a bit green on the outside. This is a Nikki variety (This one has been tough for me to confirm, because of the limited pictures out there)
-

Bourjasotte Grise
—
by
A really good fig that produces both breba and main crop figs that are both very good. The trunk of the tree has that great knobby look too. It can be very productive and syrupy with a squat shape and a somewhat large eye
-

Bourjasotte Noire
—
by
A really good large dark fig. This one is usually one of my larger dark berry figs. It often has a bit of a squat shape too.
-

Boysenberry Blush
—
by
Really good, very large fig. Ripens to an extra large 80-90grams most of the time. Has a tougher skin, with an excellent berry flavored deep red honey filled interior.
-

Brazillian XP
—
by
Large fig (new to me) that has somewhat purplish coloration to the interior with a bit of a void.
-

Burgan UNK
—
by
Burgan UNK is definitely an interesting fig. It often has a crackling skin pattern, and can be very good looking. Based on the way it looks, the distinct melon flavor that I get from it at times can be surprising. They also are usually pretty round especially at the bottom
-

Calderona de Miner
—
by
One of my favorite large figs, that gets a nice crackling pattern to the exterior. Great flavor, and seems similar in size and shape to Bass’s Favorite. (A Montserrat Pons variety)
-

Campaniere
—
by
An excellent early fig. To me this one has some characteristics of both honey and berry figs. It is a red pulp, but lighter than those fully dark red interior figs.
-

Can Planetes
—
by
One of my favorites this year. I got a bunch of medium to large awesome figs dripping with honey. Great flavor, consistency, and size. (reportedly a hivernenca type)
-

Capri Q
—
by
A persistent Caprifig I got from figaholics. It has an edible main crop too that was actually really good!
-

Carol’s Fig UNK
—
by
This one is named for the neighbor I got the cutting from. She had this fig tree in front of her house for probably 20 years. She said it was an Italian variety. It is an interesting fig that gets a lot of crackling to the fig and has a lighter peach like flavor (a…
