Figoin (aka Verdino del Nord VR) Is a great weather resistant small green fig, that gets a very sweet thick dark red jelly like interior.  Figoin has gotten better for me each year, and the tree stays relatively small while producing a lot of fruit.  It is a good option for locations with a little less than ideal amounts of sunlight.
